Zurich Insurance Group Ltd is a Swiss insurance company,
headquartered in Zürich, and the country’s largest insurer.

As of 2021, the group is the world’s 112th largest public company according to Forbes’ Global 2000s list. The year 2020 is set to go down in history as a period abound with seemingly endless changes – among them, a good one, is Zurich Financial Services Australia’s upcoming transfer to Zurich Tower (pictured), which replaces 12-storey Zurich Insurance House as the insurer’s Australian headquarters. Zurich Tower, is a newly constructed 29-storey property at 118 Mount Street in North Sydney, is an A-grade commercial building that was awarded a five-star Green Star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia in August.

Relocation Consultant

My Move were appointed to plan and manage the relocation from 3 sites into Zurich Tower for approx. 1800 staff in late 2019. The challenge of planning the relocation with Zurich staff involvement became even more challenging with Zurich, which is known for its flexible work programme, transited 95% of the company’s Australian workforce into full-time working from home “in a matter of weeks” when the COVID-19 pandemic first emerged in the country. Relocation planning meetings were now conducted over zoom, relocation cleanup days and file and equipment mapping tasks presented a greater obstacle without being able to meet the staff onsite. Innovative ways were developed and communicated to enable these critical tasks to still take place. The relocation was completed over several stages with mission critical IT installations completed in advance of all staff moves.
