The University of Newcastle is a public university in
Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.

Established in 1965, it has a primary campus in the Newcastle suburb of Callaghan. The university also operates campuses in Central Coast, Singapore, Newcastle City in the Hunter as well as Sydney.

Our Role l Project

Relocation Consultant

The University undertook a feasibility study to determine the future of the Hunter Building. The study showed that the time and cost required to upgrade the building would be prohibitive due to the building fabric and its age. Based on this advice, the University decided not to undertake any major refurbishments, and to start a process of progressively moving all activities from the Hunter Building. My Move was appointed through a competitive tender process to plan and manage the relocation of the School of Health Sciences and the Huxley Library to alternate locations on campus. Specialised areas of research requiring relocation included, Phycology, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy. In addition, the Huxley Library of approx. 3000 lineal metres of books was consolidated and interfiled into the Auchmuty Library on campus.
