The Hunter Medical Research Institute or HMRI is a
medical research institute located in Newcastle, New
South Wales, Australia.

Established in 1998, the research institute is a partnership between the University of Newcastle, Australia, Hunter New England Local Health District and the community. The HMRI Research Programs facilitate collaborations between all levels of research to translate scientific advances and new health knowledge into better clinical care, products and improved health care guidelines.

Our Role l Project

Relocation Consultant

Researchers previously based at Newcastle’s David Maddison Building have begun moving into the new $90 million HMRI Building at the Rankin Park campus. My Move was appointed to manage the relocation of approx. 400 researchers and support staff from the David Maddison Building.

In addition to other groups set to follow during a progressive relocation process, with the 16,000sq metre, state-of-the-art medical facility to house around 340 staff in the initial stages. Researchers working in fields as diverse as brain and mental health, information-based medicine, pregnancy and reproduction, public health and VIVA (viruses, infections/immunity, vaccines and asthma).
